Who runs ExtraCredit

ExtraCredit Loans is run by Kelli Jones, with her husband, Josh, behind her.

Kelli spent her career as an educator, most of it teaching high school. She always worked more than one job, because the classroom was never the whole of her ambition. When she and Josh met, she took to what he did for a living: getting money to small businesses, where it is often the difference between reacting to a problem and jumping on an opportunity. She started working as ExtraCredit, a name that is a nod to her teaching years, and has helped many small businesses get to what they were after.

What suits her best is what she did in the classroom: helping people, and teaching them enough to make the right decision. That is what this site is for. The guides are here to educate. The form is here to find the product that fits the business in front of it.

Josh Jones has worked in small business lending since 2010. He is a partner in ExtraCredit Loans and works for Kapitus, its primary lender. He writes and reviews the guides on this site.

Away from work, you will find them at the gym, at the beach, or at the table. Both are foodies with the same order of preference: sushi, steak, then a casual pizza or a proper Italian sub. Josh surfs and snowboards. They travel when they can, and the kids come first.
